None of our products contain synthetic preservatives. We use the natural
antioxidant activity of the botanical ingredients to add shelf life.
As these are not full spectrum preservatives, shelf life is considerably shorter
than products preserved with parabens or similar synthetics. We recommend
purchasing smaller amounts more frequently. Purchase only the amount you expect
to consume within the time frame of expected shelf life.
Care and Expected Shelf Life*
Our soaps are truly soap, not a detergent
like most commercial "beauty bars". This means our soaps will "drown"
and disintegrate quickly if left in standing water. A simple soap dish that
elevates the soap after use and allows it to breathe and dry between uses
will make your purchase last for a longer period. If the soap is not to be used
right away, store it in a dry place at room temperature. Do not leave in
warm, humid areas. You can expect a shelf
life of at least 18 months.
Salves, spritzes and body "mooses" can be
stored at room temperature, out of direct light. Salves should last at
least 36 months. Spritzes will last for at least 12 months. Body
"mooses" should have a shelf life of 6-9 months. If separation occurs, the product will still
function. Simply stir before use. Shelf life can be extended with
refrigeration and if hands are cleaned and dried just prior to application
of product.
Sugar and salt scrubs can be stored in the
shower if care is taken to avoid introducing water into the container. They
should be capped tightly between uses. Separation will occur so stir with
fingers to blend before use. Expected shelf life is 9-12 months. Our
soap-free scrub will last several years if kept cool and dry.
Eco-Sprinkle will also last several years
if kept capped and cool and dry, though scent will fade.

We cannot guarantee a product will remain fresh for this entire period as we are unable to control for
introduction of impurities from consumer use. We will gladly replace
products that have "turned" within 1 week of customer receipt. Please

All soap bars are hand cut and sold by
weight. Measurements vary from one bar to the next, but weight is
consistent.
