Mountain Girl Botanics creates all natural spa quality bar soaps using organic ingredients. Our bar soaps are handcrafted in small batches using cold process methods to ensure that the natural emollients and nutrients actually make it to your skin.

All of our soaps are formulated with a generous excess of oils making them ultra-rich, ultra-gentle and non-drying. Unlike most soap companies, we formulate each of our soaps with a unique, synergistic combination of base oils. Our proprietary blends of base and essential oils don't just provide exotic scents and great lather--they offer specific skin care properties for different skin demands.

Our bar soaps are offered in a variety of sizes so that you can purchase your favorites in bulk or experiment with finding a new favorite.

Apex Almond Bar Soap

We combined the classic scent of pure almond essential oil with a nourishing base of organic extra virgin olive oil, organic shea butter and vitamin E rich organic avocado oil. The finishing touch on this unique bar is the addition of finely milled organic flax seeds--calming exfoliation and gentle cleansing even on sensitive skin.

Recommended for any skin type. Moderately textured.

Colorado Kind Suds Hair & Body Bar

Maybe some of you are old enough to remember the beer-based shampoos from the 70's. We are--and we are trying to revive the trend. For super shiny tresses, we started with Colorado Kind Ale from our favorite local microbrew, Mountain Sun Pub. To our already vitamin rich, conditioning base oils, we added organic castor bean oil for a super creamy lather. The essential oil blend is rich--a combination of florals like geranium and earthy base notes like vetiver for a longer lasting scent. The finished look of this bar will make you want to take in the mountain vista with your favorite hoppy ale in hand. Skip the detergents and chemicals commonly found in shampoos as well as reduce your earthly footprint by avoiding plastic packaging and using only one fully biodegradable product to do the job--use this bar for head-to-toe clean!

What do you get when you cross our energizing peppermint essential oil blend with a few pounds of California sea salt? A fantastic result...creamy, pore refining lather combined with the silkiness of organic shea butter and organic olive oil. You'll have to try this one for a squeaky clean experience.

Recommended for any skin type, except broken skin. Recommended for use post-partum; NOT recommended for use on infants or during pregnancy. Lightly textured with salt.

The inspiration for this bar came from a late spring bloom in the city of Boulder. A reflection of the feel of the city itself, this essential oil blend is a combination of light, carefree florals and refreshing citrus notes grounded by a touch of wood and fir. Rich, unprecedented lather is accented by a flirty, funky finish of pink sprinkles - like a birthday cake sans calories!!

Formulated with organic olive oil and vitamin E rich organic avocado oil, this is truly a luxurious bar. The addition of organic oatmeal, local honey, organic chamomile flowers and organic lavender flowers add emollients while gently exfoliating skin. Floral and woodsy notes contrast with the spice of clove to leave you relaxed and elegantly scented. Definitely lives up to its namesake!

Nothing but the "bear" necessities went into this soap bar. We started with the best oils for nourishing and protecting sensitive and eczema prone skin including organic shea butter, organic avocado oil and wildcrafted babassu oil Then we infused those organic oils with the healing powers of organic calendula flowers, organic chamomile flowers and organic lavender flowers. We skipped adding essential oil to make this a fragrance free soap bar so there is nothing to irritate. Nothing but pure and natural clean here.

Recommended for ultra-sensitive skin, especially the littlest "bears" and those with eczema. Perfect for those allergic to fragrances. Ultra smooth textured.

Red Rocks Soap

Named for the famous open space and concert venue west of Denver, this deep burgundy soap bar gets its color from the addition of ultra fine Morrocon red clay and organic rooibos tea. An ancient part of nature's beauty treatments, clays are known for their ability to draw out impurities and toxins from the skin. Though rooibos has been consumed by indigenous cultures for centuries, it is new to the cosmetic scene. It won't be a secret for long: it is loaded with a greater variety of antioxidants than green tea. We kept the texture for this soap bar smooth and creamy to avoid irritation. The addition of evening organic primrose oil, organic grapeseed oil, and essential oils with skin calming, toning and antimicrobial properties make this the ultimate soap for acne prone oily skin.

Recommended for oily and acne prone skin. Smooth textured.

Hmmm...coffee in soap? That's right, fairly traded, organic coffee beans are the ideal natural ingredient for our kitchen hand soap: they not only lend the perfect grit for scrubbing away grease and grime, they also work well to neutralize strong kitchen odors like garlic or fish. The fresh lemony essential oils are tough on germs and odors as well. The addition of organic sunflower oil adds a healthy dose of vitamin E for skin care. All this - and no caffeine jitters.

One of our richest and most antioxidant packed bars, we begin with pure mountain spring water and organic olive oil infused with skin regenerating herbals such as organic rose flowers, organic comfrey root and leaf, organic gotu kola and organic rooibos tea. Then we added organic evening primrose oil and essential oils known for their ability to reduce signs of aging and UV damage. The added benefit? Your skin will be subtly scented with a complex blend of earthy and light floral notes.

Recommended especially for mature or dry skin types, but a rich facial soap for most anyone. Smooth textured.
